Hello, Zenzile!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Zenzile/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Summary swearing...

Could you please be more respectful in your summaries. Not everyone speaks English as there main language, and i'm also very far away from being perfect, but to write such rude and hurting summaries is something i can not tolerate. Be warned that such a behavior is a fast way of being blocked from editing. Case file: 1, 2, 3 . δ³Σx² 10:45, 9 September 2012 (PDT)

Alright I'm sorry about my summary's there. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. It just gets frustrating when people put hardly any effort into their edits such as this.Zenzile 11:02, 9 September 2012 (PDT)
I recommend reading the Wikipedia Manual of Style, particularly, their sections on Editing and Edit Summaries.
Belittling people for their edits or starting edit wars is not the goal of this Wiki. Try to explain in specifics what you are doing in the edit summaries and cite the relevant policies for a removal or major edit. If you have a major dispute, try to explain in the appropriate talk page, whether it be the user's or the page's.
Additionally, take a look at the Welcome Template for suggestions and helpful links when welcoming a new user. User Upgrade Signature.png 16:10, 9 September 2012 (PDT)

Upgrade, just wondering but did you read what I previously said? You're basically restating exactly what TheDoctor said. I get it don't put hurtful summarys. Also why are you sending my style links? I know about these. Zenzile 17:09, 9 September 2012 (PDT)

This is a formal declaration and an additional friendly reminder about the general Code of Conduct. I hope you have a pleasant day. User Upgrade Signature.png 01:28, 10 September 2012 (PDT)
Alright thank you. Zenzile 06:09, 10 September 2012 (PDT)

Item schema

Hello. I'd like to warn you not to take the schema too seriously, as there are several infos on items that are not true in the actual game. First, all HHHH's receive a random 1-100 level when dropped, which means your edit was wrong. Also, info about the schema being misled, such as in the Lo-Fi case, does not constitute trivia. Please examine your facts before adding them to the Wiki. Thank you.  –  Epic Eric (T | C) 16:16, 19 September 2012 (PDT)

Considering that any item can be any level whoever or whatever with access to the item granting stuff can set any level they or it wants, I would say that the schema is an acceptable default in cases where we are unsure of a certain attribute. Such as the lo-fi longwave. The schema is meant only as a base for backpack specific items to overwrite. Imagine a pre-filled form, where you can leave and overwrite what you don't want. So no, don't take the schema too seriously, but do use it in the item infobox when it's appropriate. Which it is most of the time. -- Lagg Backpack Stickybomb Launcher.png 17:46, 19 September 2012 (PDT)

In addition to the above comments I'd like to ask you to not do edits based on assumptions, such as here when you labeled Archimedes as a misc. That particular edit also adds more clutter on the server and adds nothing valuable to the page. Thanks in advance. rZ 14:18, 20 September 2012 (PDT)

What did you want me to put on the page then? The contradiction on this talk. Oh my god!! Honestly look above EpicEric tells me not to use schema but not to make assumptions. I put what I thought it most likely would be. This is unknown so yes I put it as a misc as thats what it is. Zenzile 18:57, 20 September 2012 (PDT)

Your edit on Strange

This edit removed a very large amount of valuable information from the article. Please consider importance of information before removing it. rZ 06:24, 21 September 2012 (PDT)

: It is not valuable. It is obvious just by looking at the strange in game. So much of this info was common sense how can you call this valuable? Zenzile 06:34, 21 September 2012 (PDT)
It does not matter whether you can just look in game, that can be done with almost all of the information on the wiki. Please reconsider your ideas. rZ 10:13, 21 September 2012 (PDT)
