! Venice-themed city

The only thing Venice-themed about the map is the Venice Beach (and all California) lifeguard tower on the beach between the iron balcony railings of the French Quarter and the brick warehouses of Navy Pier (or Coney Island, Central Pier of Atlantic City, or some such).

Is there any theme to this map other than shoreline, with beaches, docks, and the final Pier?
  • Several coastal cities have canals, the presence of a few canals does not make this Venice, Italy, and Venice proper does not have beaches (or palm trees?).
  • California has a distinct design of lifeguard towers (due to the cold water), as seen just before Final.
  • Looking at maybe 15 of the most famous Piers in the US, only Navy Pier has large red brick buildings on the pier.
    • Navy Pier also performs two huge fireworks shows each week with various commercial tours offered to watch from the lake. (Yeah, maybe other piers have regular fireworks, too. I haven't looked.)
  • Navy Pier features as larger Ferris wheel, but no rollercoaster, while several other piers or boardwalks have rollercoaster, some known for old wooden type like this map.
  • Santa Monica Pier has the same type of Ferris wheel as this map (but so does Laughter and other real amusement parks)
  • Many piers or boardwalks have have single story arcades, but not Navy Pier.

Location sectors study

Cajun Town: distinct BLUer color theme, missing the iron railings

French Quarter: (Bourbon Street iron railings) Bouchiere, Hôtel D'Amour, Petite Chou-Fleur, Châteux de Fleurs

Bourbon Street (known for many ethnic restaurants) / Colonist's Restaurant Row: Finest Hour (British), Emmerich's (German), Café et Bistro (French/Dutch), Diedrich's (German), Crummy's (American) . Ellis' Crawdads

Gator tours: common to Louisiana and Florida.

vier augen

(This is really for whoever uploads the company sign to List of companies.)

vier augen, literally "four eyes"; means two pairs of eyes,

  • particularly when engaged in a close, face-to-face conversation (two pairs of eyes close together facing each other)
  • or the dual control principle,
  • but, also "four eyes" is American slang for a person wearing classes.

New companies and signs (e.g., Newell and sons Steam)

It is unnecessary for Trivia to mention the companies and signs, especially since even new companies and signs often appear again in later maps. We don't want the Trivia on every map to list every company and sign on the map. Besides, its simple observation.

Please, extract the new signs, upload. and add them to List of companies and List of posters.
