Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask

Holiday Restriction: Halloween
Brown paper never looked so mildly disturbing.

Holidays are special events that take place in Team Fortress 2, usually coinciding with a cultural holiday or a birthday celebration. When a certain Holiday is taking place, it may enable players to equip and/or use certain items that are designated for that Holiday.

Items that have this restriction will have a line in their description reading: Holiday Restriction: <holiday name>

The Holiday Restriction mechanic was first introduced with the 2009 Haunted Halloween Special Update.

Halloween

The first Holiday introduced to Team Fortress 2, the Halloween Holiday has historically taken place in the last two weeks of October and the first week of November.

Full Moon

The Full Moon event was introduced with the 2011 Very Scary Halloween Special. It has not been confirmed yet, but it is assumed that these items will be briefly available for use during Full Moons according to the lunar calendar.

The TF Birthday celebrates the original release of the Team Fortress mod, and is activated on August 24th of every year. This Holiday can be enabled on other days on a per server basis by setting tf_birthday 1 in the server.cfg file.
