Los Earbuds son un Misceláneo que pueden llevar todas las clases. Son una réplica de los cascos blancos de Apple para iPod y iPhone. Este Misceláneo de edición limitada se conseguía iniciando el TF2 en un Mac entre el 10 de Junio de 2010 y 14 de Junio de 2010.[1] Cuando los llevas, la gente vera de vez en cuando unas notas musicales blancas saliendo de los cascos.
Curiosidades
Una de las notas musicales.
- The white cords leading down from the player's ears are jiggleboned, meaning they move around and flex as influenced by player movement. That makes this item the first equippable to the Misc. slot to have this feature.
- The Earbuds and its wire always appear bright white, even when the wearer is in darkness. This is likely a reference to the iPod commercials in which white headphones were worn by silhouettes.
- This is the second official headwear item to include an inherent particle effect (comical musical notes in this case). The only other cosmetic item to feature a passive visual effect is the Cheater's Lament. Selfmade items and the Valve and Community weapons also feature a 'shine' particle effect.
- This is also the fourth official Headwear item to include a description, after Max's Severed Head, Ze Goggles and the Ghastly Gibus.
- Although the Earbud exclusive offer was extended to the 16th of August 2010, the Mac Update site still read "4 Days for the Taking" which seems odd considering the offer was eventually made to be 2 months long.
